Preparation:

Allow test cassette, sample, buffer and/or controls to come to room temperature (15-30°C) before testing.

Bring the test cassette in the bag to room temperature before opening it. Remove the cartridge from the sealed bag and use it within one hour.

Place the test cassette on a clean and flat surface.

Sample transfer:

For serum or plasma samples:

Hold the pipette vertically and add 1 drop of serum or plasma (approx. 25 µL) to the sample area.

Then add 1 drop of buffer (approx. 40 µL) and start the timer (see figure below).

For whole blood samples from venipuncture:

Hold the pipette vertically and add 2 drops of whole blood (approx. 50 µL) to the sample area.

Then add 2 drops of buffer (approx. 80 µL) and start the timer (see figure below).

For finger prick whole blood samples:

Use a capillary tube: Fill the capillary tube with approximately 50 µL of finger prick whole blood and add it to the sample area of the test cassette.

Then add 2 drops of buffer (approx. 80 µL) and start the timer (see figure below).

Reading the results:

Wait for the colored line(s) to appear.

Read the results after 10 minutes.

Important: Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes.
Die HIV 1.2.0 Schnelltestkassette (Vollblut/Serum/Plasma) ist ein qualitativer, membranbasierter Immunoassay zum Nachweis von Antikörpern gegen HIV-1, HIV-2 und Subtyp O in Vollblut, Serum oder Plasma. Die Membran ist im Bereich der Testlinien (T1 und T2) mit rekombinanten HIV-Antigenen vorbeschichtet:
Die T1-Testlinie ist mit HIV-1- und Subtyp-O-Antigenen vorbeschichtet.
Die T2-Testlinie ist mit HIV-2-Antigen vorbeschichtet.
Während des Tests reagiert die Vollblut-, Serum- oder Plasmaprobe mit HIV-Antigen-beschichteten Partikeln im Teststreifen. Die Mischung wandert durch kapillare Aktion chromatographisch nach oben und reagiert mit den rekombinanten HIV-Antigenen auf der Membran im Bereich der Testlinien.
Wenn die Probe Antikörper gegen HIV-1 und/oder Subtyp O enthält, erscheint eine farbige Linie im Bereich der Testlinie.
Wenn die Probe Antikörper gegen HIV-1 und/oder Subtyp O sowie HIV-2 enthält, erscheinen zwei farbige Linien im Bereich der Testlinie. Beide Ergebnisse zeigen ein positives Ergebnis an.
Hinweis: Aufgrund möglicher Kreuzreaktivitäten kann bei einer Seropositivität für HIV-1, HIV-2 oder Subtyp O in einigen Fällen das Auftreten von zwei Testlinien beobachtet werden.
Wenn die Probe keine Antikörper gegen HIV-1, Subtyp O und/oder HIV-2 enthält, erscheint keine farbige Linie im Bereich der Testlinie, was auf ein negatives Ergebnis hinweist.
Als Verfahrenskontrolle erscheint immer eine farbige Linie im Kontrolllinienbereich, was anzeigt, dass eine ausreichende Probenmenge hinzugefügt wurde und die Membran durchfeuchtet ist.
